Futulele - Digital Ukulele with FX and chords App Recensioni

Molto carina

5 stelle quando penseranno anche ai mancini (left handed)

love the app...only one problem

and I don’t know if I’m at fault (will change to 5 stars if this is resolved) but the app is out of tune...using it with garageband with the sMe chord progressions results in just garbled mess...I thought it was just the app (using on my 2018 ipad pro) but when I used the app on my 1st gen Ipad pro, the tuning is perfectly fine and blends well with garageband or with my live instruments or any backing track I play along to on youtube. is there a way to fix the tuning manually? even the app on both devices using the same chord and plucking each strings results in different notes even though the notations say the same name.

App can’t output audio to Bluetooth.

I can’t get this app to output audio to my Bluetooth headset. All other apps output audio to my Bluetooth headset.

This is so awesome

I can't believe how awesome this app is and at only 99 cents. The remote app synced perfectly to the iPad. The sound is amazing, the chords are preset, there are preset songs, this is amazing.

Very playable, needs update

I have played the viola, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and ukulele (electric bass is next). This is very playable for when I am away from my instruments. A way to back up your chord sets, assign auto playing styles and speed per chord set would be nice. In latest version for iOS 9, automatic locks up.

Use With Remote

Posted on May 25, 2012 on version 1.0 - "The Futulele cases should be available soon!" - Okay, is there any update to this post? If the cases are not going to be available, please let us know as I was under the impression that the cases were already available when I downloaded the app. I guess I did not read the fine print. My fault. I do like the app, but it would be great if an update on the case would be provided from time to time. Thank you.

Awesome sound

I own a lot of synths, and I'm very demanding when it comes to sound. The included ukes all sound great and are highly sensitive to velocity. That along with muting and bendable strings makes this an extremely beautiful and expressive instrument. It really surprised me, and it's one of my favorite apps.

Best Uke I've tried

Slept not a wink last night due to this app & ukulele chords posted online for a chunk of Radiohead's discography. Slots for 12 chords gives a lot of space, you can fit most of Bungalow Bill into there & entertain the whole family (or collection of dolls, etc.).

Nice to see an update!

So happy to see someone keeping the Amidio apps alive and kicking. Futulele is easily the best ukulele on the platform and boasts plenty of features and options. For the price it's a no brainer if you want a ukulele that is ! No complaints other than my palm sometimes hits the Preferences button in the top left corner when I'm playing on my iPad, which stops my ... er ... playing. I'd like to lock that, or move the icon. Totally worth the price.

Needs free chirds on iPhone

Five stars on iPad but three on the new iPhone version - the iPhone is limited to a sequence of chords you can step through. Would love the ability to play chords in any order similar to ipad maybe on a strip.

Broken -- used to be a great app

This app desperately needs an update. The audio no longer works properly with the latest iOS. Until then, the app is unusable.

Ridiculous.

App crashes. I can't even open this thing. On top of that, support site will not let me send support request/ refund request-- asks for "valid email address.". I put in a valid email address. Frustrating and ridiculous for a PAID app. You need to work out all your glitches before taking people's money. I will take this up with Apple Store.

Screws up phone

The app is very quiet. You can hardly hear it. Then when you go to play any music the volume is low on it as well. Deleted app and volume went back to normal. Awful app.

Good ideas, but dead until updated

Way overdue for an update, that restores proper speaker functionality and crashes less often. Right now the app can only utilize the ear speaker. Has some fine features but is useless without a fix. iOS 7, 5/14

Sound only comes out ear speaker

I don't know why they would do this, but sound only comes out the ear speaker. The new update makes it "louder" but still only through the ear speaker. Why don't they get this?

No sound

We'll not technically, but the sound comes out of the earpiece... No way to use the speaker. Seriously, who wants to hold their phone up to their ear and try to strum cords?

Sound only plays through ear speaker

Latest update must not properly support iOS-7, as the sound no longer comes out the bottom main speaker, but only the iPhone's ear speaker. Makes it quiet and not at all fun anymore! :-( Please correct and update, as I miss my Futulele!

Crash, crash and crash

Used to be fun but now it won't even work, crashes every time I try to use it.

Crashes >:(

I paid $2 for this app and haven't gotten to use it even once because and soon as I open it it crashes. Please fix it!

No audiobus in iOS 7

Since I made the last updated to ios7 is no connecting to audiobus please fix it... I like this app

Love it on ipad

:)

ipad version much better than iphone

should be only for ipad

Good sound, buggy app

Let me get the bad news out of the way first: when run on the iPhone, this app is fatally buggy. It uses a clever chord-sequencing scheme--just strum and periodically hit the down arrow to go to the next chord--but programming in the chords is impossible. Among other problems, chords dragged to the timeline pile up on top of each other so you can't even read their labels, or they don't "stick" when dragged there, and before long the app simply freezes and must be force-quit. If you're thinking of running this on your iPhone, forget it. It's unusable. (Tested on iPhone 5/64 GB.) The rest of this review applies to the iPad version, which is marginally usable. I've tried several ukulele apps on my iPad and so far, Futulele is the best of the lot. That's not saying much, though, because the others I've seen are pretty lame. The pros: Futulele has an attractive main screen and produces good sound. It's able to record your performance and export both .wav (digitized audio) and .mid (MIDI) files, which can be imported into GarageBand and combined with other tracks to produce professional-sounding songs. The cons: once you get beyond the main screen into settings, chords and so on, things get ugly fast. The controls are overlaid on the main screen in a semi-translucent fashion, making for a visually distracting mess. The font used is hard to read, and--a particularly serious flaw in a musical instrument--"C" is almost indistinguishable from "G". The recording function works for two takes and then fails--after that, the "Record" button cannot even be actuated. The only cure is to force-quit and relaunch the app. The exported .wav files are fine, but the .mid files, at least in GarageBand, don't sound remotely like what you played, no matter what instrument you assign them to. And as others have pointed out, buttons on the main screen get "stuck" and in some cases replaced by white squares. Futulele is an ambitious effort, and I give the developers credit for what they've accomplished. Unfortunately, they failed to finish the job. This app needs some serious debugging effort, as well as a redesign of the various settings screens. Until then, I can only categorize it as "the best of a bad lot"--still worth buying if you care about the ukulele, but frustrating in use. (Tested on iPad 3/64 GB and iPad Mini/32 GB.)

???

Looks nice but I could not figure it out. Songs won't play, nothing seems to work except plunking the 4 string either singly or together. I rarely meet an app I can't figure out ...but this one defeated me.

Works great, sounds great

This is a great companion app to OMGuitar. Looks and sounds like a uke', and has lots of strum patterns.

nothing

really wanted this to work but it won't even open!

Fun app

Works well on my iPhone5- no issues. Looks & sounds great- lots of fun.

Good

Good

Heckuvaotta Fun

My mom had a ukulele and I loved to play it as a kid. This takes me back to those days. Still haven't figured it all out yet, but who cares I'm having a blast with it anyway. Anyone know how to play Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head? :-)

NoNo

Crashes before it even loads. Deleted.

Fun app

No problems here. Plays better than other ukulele apps.

More chords

Wonderful app; however the makers should include the flat chords, as well (e.g. Bb, Ab, etc.)

Works like a champ on my gen 4 iPad!

What a hoot this application is! I have seen the other recent reviews that have indicated problems. A suggestion to the developer - regress against a number of platforms/iOS versions. A suggestion to users, look for possible interactions with othe installed apps and report this to the developer. It works very well on mine. I prefer it to the guitar app by the same team.

Needs help

I cant get into this app at all- PLEASE HELP!

App refuses to load on my iPod.

Does not load even with plenty of memory available.

App "crash"

App install in iPod 4 but not inicialize. Bug, bug, bug!

Very nice

Good job on this app. Nice sounds, great response, no discernible latency. Highly recommended if you're looking for a new sound.

???

Want to give instructions? Bc I have no clue

Crash

Need i say more? It wont let me enter the app AT ALL

Adorable! I love it

It takes a lot to get five stars out of me. This is adorably fun and sweet, a great app with which to play.

Obviously having issues

Downloaded, but some buttons/icons came in as white squares ... And no matter what song is selected, automatic just repeats the same strum. :o)

Latest update increases usability greatly

The addition of Audiobus and the chunk feature not to mention the MIDI support (which I have not tried yet) have greatly increased the usability of this already really fun app. I'm going to start looking for ways to include Futulele in some of my upcoming projects. The only thing I can think of to make it even better would be truly custom chords, i.e. being able to pick the note for each of the four strings. That or even more chord choices like madd2, m7b5, etc. I'm just dying to play some jazz uke on this thing :-)

crash

been wanting this app for a while and when i bought it it crashed..no bueno

Not working on iPad 2

iOS 5.1.1 Haven't been able to use it once. Crashes just trying to launch application. Deleted/reinstalled/rebooted several times. Save your $3 if your on same setup as me! Doesn't work!

Brilliant!

Brilliant sound, great UI, easy-to-use and soooooo much fun!! It's the best ukulele app I've had! With or without an iPhone will be the same joy!

Well done and fun

This app sounds like the real thing and has all the features you need to transform your iPad into an approximation of the real thing. Well thought out, beautifully designed and full of authentic sound. Worth the purchase.

Awesome

Need left-handed option added please!!!

Makanalei

Well okay it's a good app but you should be able to hold the chords at one time it's a good app but I regret buying it for THREE!!!!!? Dollars I mean so expensive for things that doesn't really do what people think it does do. Please fix it please!!!!!!
